On the road...

We hopped in our car yesterday
& drove three hours to the beautiful
San Miguel de Allende
in the State of Guanajuato.
We saw this blooming tree full of white storks
that reminded me of my "Peacock Tree" piece.
Stayed at a little downtown hotel with a wonderful view
of the main square's pink neo-Gothic church.
But the best part was spending time with family.
We're back home now, full of inspiration.

I finally completed the 12 tiny pieces of art
that go inside the "Tiny Book of Art".
This is what it looks like when it's closed.
It will be up for sale @ my Etsy shop today at 7 pm CST
(which is Greenwich Mean Time -6)
I will also be adding a couple of new prints
that I hope you'll like :)

Chipped & tattoed

Turbo got chipped & tattooed today.
It was so much fun, he got to play
with his five brothers and sisters.
And I had very interesting conversations
with the other puppy owners.
Not to brag or anything...
but our puppy was the best behaved
and also the cutest ;)

. . . . . . . .

I've been guest blogging at a beautiful blog
called Habit during the month of July.
You can check it out by clicking here.

Wet dog

A filthy little cute puppy
got a warm bath in the kitchen sink
this weekend.
He's growing way too fast,
please make it stop! :)

Tiny Book of Art

People always ask me if I ever sell my originals...
I do occasionally,
but I'm mostly saving them for my boys.
They might be worth something
when they're old men ;)
Anyways...
I made this accordion book that holds 12 tiny originals
& it will be for sale at my Etsy shop
as soon as I'm finished with it.
I still have to make two tiny originals
to complete the collection of 12.
They were painted
on handmade Twinrocker paper
and measure 1.5 x 2 inches.

Growing up

Little Turbo with his "I didn't do it" face.
Running like a little bear!
He's such a beautiful puppy, we love him to pieces.
Always alert.
Sticking out his little pink tongue out :)

Our beautiful nice was visiting with us
from California this weekend
and took so many great photos of the puppers.
She was little Turbo's very own paparazzi,
and I HAD to share these with you.

New Inspiration Board

I did some cleaning and reorganizing
in the studio over the weekend.
My little chest of drawers is back
from the carpenters shop. Happiness!
The inspiration board looks more winter inspired
than bright and summery don't you think?
hmmm...
If you click on the image
you'll see a much bigger picture.

The Old Hacienda

As seen from our back yard.
I've been spending a lot of time in our yard
since little Turbo arrived.
I can't wait till he's fully immunized
so we can take him out for long walks around the hood.
my "Neighborhood" photo set at Flickr.
The beautiful Hacienda was built in the late 1500s
and I love the fact that it's orange.

Framed

It's so great to see my my work
living happily in other people's walls.
Here is my "Birdies A to Z" print
at my lovely friend Yvonne's home.
I really love how she framed it
with the big white mat & simple frame.
Rita & Artur are keeping my prints
company at the talented Maria's studio.
My little "Terrarium" print is happy
at a cozy corner of my artist friend Tiel's home.
All in a row at Courtney 's fabulous studio.
And finally my birdies
living at Carly's beautiful home
in Northern Ireland.

Thank you so much to all of you
that have purchased my art
to keep you company, I am truly honored.
